Free vs Premium — what you actually get
We keep as much of Tidywell free as possible. Here’s the honest split of what the free plan includes, what Premium adds, and a brief word on why Premium exists at all.
What the free plan includes
The free plan isn’t a demo or a teaser. It’s a full app. We’ve deliberately made Tidywell as free as we possibly can — free-forever, no ad creep, no future feature clawback. Most small households will never need to upgrade, and we’re fine with that.
Up to 2 household members
Invite a partner, a flatmate, or a co-parent. Everything syncs between both of you.
Unlimited rooms, tasks, and completions
There’s no cap on how many rooms or chores you can track. Recurring, one-time, seasonal — all free.
Today tab with daily budget
The capped Today list, the week-spread logic, preferred-day halving and Focus Mode are all in the free plan.
Virtual home with Common items
The dollhouse view, the coin economy, and the Common-rarity furniture, wallpapers, and flooring are all free.
Solo Live Sprints
Start a timer, pick your tasks, and clean with the lo-fi player. Free forever.
Personal Insights
Your own streaks, totals, and trend charts. Free, no time limits.
1 AI task breakdown per day
Stuck on “clean the kitchen”? Turn it into micro-steps. Free plan gets one a day.
30 before / after photos
Keep a visual record of what you’ve tackled. The free allowance covers most casual use.
3 lo-fi soundscapes
Three ambient tracks that duck during celebrations and play in the background during Focus Mode.
No ads, no data selling
The free plan doesn’t show ads, doesn’t sell your data, and doesn’t nag you to upgrade on every screen.
Why Premium exists at all
We’re a small team and we’ve poured a lot of hours into Tidywell. Premium covers the build time and the ongoing cost of running the app — the hosted backend, the AI that powers task breakdown, the sync infrastructure that keeps your household in step. We prefer charging a small subscription to the alternatives: ads, selling your data, or a cash-grab redesign later. Free stays generous; Premium keeps the lights on.
One subscription covers your whole household
There is no per-seat pricing. Pay once and everyone under your roof gets Premium — including kids, flatmates, and remote partners.
